What constitutes a dental emergency?

• Severe tooth pain
• Cracked teeth
• Physical dental trauma

Simply stated; if it hurts – it is an emergency.

What do I do if I have lost a tooth due to trauma?

A tooth that has been physically knocked out can still be saved! You have just 30 minutes before insertion becomes impossible, so it is important to:

• Find the tooth as soon as possible
• Pick it up by the crown, never the root
• Pop the tooth in a container of milk or in the cheek of the person it belongs to
• Immediately contact your nearest dentist or hospital
